I did see in reading what fans love about this book and series: the chemistry between Tamlin and Feyre is pretty sizzling. But what can a human girl with no magic possibly do to help Tamlin fight back against such a strong threat? Tamlin hopes to protect Feyre, even as she wants to stay with him. Over time, however, he learns to treat her better, and she finds herself attracted to him, even feeling a burning passion for the faerie.īut even as they begin to fall in love, a dangerous and cruel faerie with strong powers is taking over the faerie lands. Tamlin can shift from being mostly human-looking to a beast, but he certainly treats Feyre like he’s the latter. She had killed a shapeshifted faerie, a friend of the beast, and so he tells her that she either must pay with her life or submit to living with him in the faerie land.
Shortly afterward, a beast comes to her home to demand retribution. One day as Feyre is out hunting, she shoots a huge wolf. They barely scrape by, and they eat because she hunts. Despite her apparent dislike of Feyre, later revealed to be shame of Feyre's ability to keep her family alive while their father did nothing, Nesta never treated Elain with anything less than the utmost patience and love. The fact that this had no effect on him only deepened Nesta's contempt for her father, resulting in her treating him with constant disdain. She began lashing out, spending any money they got their hands on in an effort to force her father into action, as she hoped that starving to death would spite him. When Nesta's family lost their wealth she became cold and vicious, hating her father for his unwillingness to try and provide for his daughters. She, along with her sisters, is High Fae following the events in Hybern. Nesta Archeron is Feyre and Elain Archeron's eldest sister.
